Science Supercourse: A New Tool for Education

Abstract
The Internet has brought the world under our fingertips revolutionizing many of our life aspects. ICT is effectively being used today as a tool in many strategies including education. This is manifested in the new Science Supercourse endeavor at Bibliotheca Alexandrina. It offers students and professors worldwide an abundant source of scientific material in PowerPoint format, associated with the necessary dissemination tools, convenient user access and an efficient retrieval system. Science Supercourse provides thousands of lectures in Computer Engineering as well as other areas of science, all laid out in a user-friendly interface and developed using web 2.0 tools to allow for the interaction and involvement of the community. This talk will take you on a tour through the Science Supercourse, illustrating how it allows students and professors to reinforce their educational skills through maximizing exposure and interactivity with their counterparts worldwide. We will also highlight how you may become part of the Science Supercourse network of scientists, outreaching your skills and expertise to larger audience.
